2019 JKT calendars!

If you would like calendars delivered as gifts please add a note to your order and provide the address to send to.

The 2019 calendars are beauties! Featuring Mike Bolam’s stunning landscape and weather photography, the calendar captures the seasons in some outstanding locations, including many of Jasper’s favourite places (his beloved Eigg) Mike, Jasper’s brother in law, has kindly donated 13 images for the 2019 calendar project with January 2020 added to help with forward planning!

Check out some of Mike’s beautiful photography here:

We are thrilled that Jasper’s best pal Dave Pope’s epic #WAVE@DAVE Land’s End to John O Groats cycle ride campaign earned an incredible £1080 for the Trust. Massive thanks to Dave and everybody who sponsored him.
Award-winning dry stone waller Lydia Noble ran a Charity Dry Stone Walling workshop for JKT in June and raised an amazing £400. Thanks to all the participants, and to the amazing Lydia!

 2019 plans

The JKT aims to help with six family breaks in 2019. We are extending our holidays to include two holidays in Ambleside, Lake District (with assistance from Maggie’s Manchester) as well as four holidays to Harvest Moon in East Lothian.

Harvest Moon offers ‘glamping’ space for families, whereas Ambleside, Lake District is a one-bedroom holiday cottage, appropriate for couples or close friends.

Please support the Trust if you can with donations and fund-raising events. Any amount is generous and gratefully received.

The Jasper King Memorial Trust (JKT) became a registered charity on 30th August 2017, Charity number: SCO047679

 March 2018 - PRIX CLARINS AWARD 2018:

We are thrilled and proud that our very own Sharon King has been nominated for the Prix Clarins 2018, a prestigious award for an inspirational woman who is improving the lives of the next generation and beyond through an innovative charity or initiative she has founded! A perfect fit! The winner of the award will receive £30,000 towards the project. Fingers crossed!

We are delighted to welcome students from Edinburgh’s Mary Erskine School on board with raising awareness about, and potentially £3,000 for JKT.

Five pupils from the school have selected the trust to promote in a presentation competition, as part of the Youth and Philanthropy initiative, raising awareness among young people about philanthropy and their local community.

The group will be responsible for directing a £3,000 YPI Grant to a local charity, and the most deserving teams go on to present at a school-wide final where a panel of judges determine which team will win a £3,000 grant for their chosen charity.

We wish the team all the best with their campaign. And a massive thank you for choosing us!

February 2018 - JKT LAUNCH NIGHT:

The Jasper King Trust official launch night at Summerhall in Edinburgh on February 24th was an amazing success, raising a spectacular £1,556 from door donations and raffle ticket sales….and an extra £500 in #WAVEatDAVE campaign sponsorship.

Heartfelt thanks to all involved in making it such a great night of music, memories and moving stories of how the JKT is already making such a difference to families facing a cancer diagnosis. What a brilliant official launch for the Trust!

The winner of the Harvest Moon Holidays raffle prize kindly donated it to the trust for use by one of the families we are supporting. Thank you!

The winner of the Scottish rugby ball signed by winning Scotland vs England Squad also donated their prize for auction – with all proceeds to the Trust!

The auction closed on 9th March with a further £400 being donated to the Trust.
